Flights
How does a flight work?
Search for a city or pick one from the suggestions, then tap Begin. The flight time comes from the real distance from where you are, and the flight lands when it's up. Every 25 minutes you get a five-minute break. When you land, the city's stamp goes in your passport.
Can I leave the app during a flight?
Yes. The flight keeps going while the app is closed, and a Live Activity shows it on your lock screen. If your plane lands while the app is closed, the landing is waiting for you next time you open it.
How do I cancel a flight?
Tap Cancel flight (Leave flight on a group flight) under the boarding pass. A cancelled flight doesn't earn a stamp.
Group flights
What's a group flight?
A group flight leaves every hour from the Departures tab. Everyone aboard takes off, takes their breaks and lands at the same moment. Book a seat in advance and you'll get a boarding call five minutes before departure (if notifications are on); boarding opens 15 minutes before take-off.
Can I join a flight that's already flying?
Yes — under In the air on the Departures tab, until 10 minutes before it lands. You join where the plane is, and the stamp is yours when it lands.
What do other passengers see?
Your seat, your home country's flag and how many stamps you have — no name and no chat. You can hide your flag in Profile → Group flights.
Can other people join my own flights?
Only if you say so. The first time you take off you're asked once; you can change it any time in Profile → Group flights → Let others join my flights.
Why does my flight leave from a different city for other people?
Group flights only use cities on Wanderjet's own list, so a home town that isn't on it flies from the nearest city that is. Your own boarding pass and globe still start from home.
Flying with friends
How do I invite friends?
Plan a flight, then tap the invite button next to Begin. Choose when it leaves — in 5 to 30 minutes — and send the boarding code or link that comes up.
A friend sent me a boarding code. Where do I enter it?
Open the link on your iPhone, or go to the Departures tab and tap Have a boarding code?. If a link opens this website instead of the app, tap Open in Wanderjet.
I'm new — do I have to subscribe to fly with my friend?
No. At the end of setup, tap Flying with a friend? and enter the code. Your first flight with them is free; after it lands you can carry on with Wanderjet Pro.
Wanderjet Pro and billing
What does Pro include?
Long-haul flights of three hours or more, Insights, Home Screen widgets, every globe style and colour theme, and cabin-window videos during your breaks.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, go to Profile → Restore purchase, then tap Restore.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Wanderjet. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I was Flight Focus Pro — is that still mine?
Yes. Flight Focus is now Wanderjet; your subscription or lifetime purchase, flights and stamps carry over when you update.
Your data
Do I need an account?
No. Group flights use a random, anonymous ID — there's no email or password.
How do I delete my data?
Profile → Group flights → Delete my group-flight data removes your group-flight account and seats from our server. Everything else is on your phone and goes when you delete the app. To ask about analytics data, email us. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Troubleshooting
I'm not getting break or landing notifications.
Check that notifications are on in Profile and in the Settings app → Notifications → Wanderjet, and that a Focus mode isn't silencing them.
The departures board says it's offline.
Group flights need an internet connection; check yours and tap Try again. Solo flights keep working offline.
The times on the board look different from my friend's.
Times are shown in your own time zone, so a 4:00 PM departure in London is 11:00 AM in New York.
